APMP WORK PROGRAMME


    APMP aims to improve the measurement capabilities of Asia Pacific laboratories and achieve international recognition of regional measurement competence. APMP is using its active international comparison Programme to build the mutual confidence in measurement capability required to establish a regional mutual recognition agreement;

    97/98, 2000, 2010/2020.

     

    1. 23 comparisons under way with 2 Programmes including 3 EUROMET laboratories
      An established Programme of APMP comparisons linked to the CIPM key comparison Programmes and
      including participants from EUROMET, NORAMET, SIM, SADCMET, etc
      Achieve international recognition for regional measurement competence
       
    2. Some bilateral agreements in place, more being developed
      Expand bilateral agreements
       
    3. Directory of Regional Facilities available
      Multilateral agreements being developed between more established members
      Encourage members to partipate the global Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA)
       
    4. Signing of APMP Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalising members commitment
      to the Programmeme
      APMP MoU revised every four years
       
    5. Educate members re: needs for technical infrastructure, using training, review visits, Conferences, etc,  to communicate to the constituencies of all the Specialist Regional Bodies the importance of the APEC objectives
