    The function of the APMP Technical Committee Chairmen is to serve as the APMP contact point for the specified field of metrology, to be responsible for ensuring that the views of the Committee are represented to the relevant CIPM Consultative Committee and other fora, and to coordinate the activities of the TCs

    The role of the APMP TCs is to:
    • Coordinate APMP technical activities in specific fields of metrology;
    • Link APMP activities to the relevant Consultative Committees of the CIPM and to Technical Committees of other Regional Metrology Organisations (RMOs);
    • Submit the TCs activity status to the relevant CIPM CC;
    • Coordinate APMP key comparisons;
    • Select and coordinate APMP supplementary comparisons;
    • Coordinate other actions designed to support mutual confidence in the calibration certificates of APMP members;
    • Foster technical cooperation between APMP members organisations;
    • Keep APMP members informed of relevant developments in the technical area;
    • Establish technical Working Groups as required; and
    • Provide an annual report to the APMP General Assembly.
