APMP Young Metrologist Prize
Dr. Guangzhen XING
NIM, China
It is with profound gratitude for the APMP, and I am deeply honoured and thrilled to receive the Young Metrologist Prize.
This award is not only a milestone in my career, but also a reflection of the support and mentorship I have received from NIM China and APMP. The guidance and feedback have been invaluable in shaping my skills and perspectives. I am also deeply grateful to Dr. YANG Ping, my supervisor who has believed in my potential, provided me with endless opportunities to learn and grow.
It is a privilege to work with APMP colleagues. I am committed to advancing the field of ultrasound metrology, driving innovation, and sharing knowledge with each other. This award certainly strengthens my passion and motivates me to strive for excellence. Let us continue to inspire, challenge, and elevate one another, driving progress and achieving greatness together.
Best wishes to APMP.

APMP Award for Developing Economies
Dr. Charun Yafa
NIMT, Thailand
It is a great honour to accept the APMP Metrologist Award for Developing Economies. This recognition is deeply meaningful to me as it acknowledges my contributions to advancing metrology in developing economies. For me, this award is not a personal achievement, it is a testament to the collaborative efforts of many individuals and organizations that have supported this journey.
For many years, I have been actively engaged in the APMP community, particularly in supporting the development of Metrology in Chemistry (MiC) in developing economies. I am pleased to see that our collective efforts are yielding tangible results, with some developing NMIs now successfully registering Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs). This progress marks a significant step forward in strengthening metrology infrastructures across the region.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my family, my colleagues at the National Institute of Metrology, Thailand (NIMT), and my fellow Developing Economies Committee (DEC) members for their unwavering support, collaboration, and encouragement. Their dedication has been instrumental in driving progress in this field. I also extend my sincere appreciation to the Metrology – Enabling Developing Economies in Asia (MEDEA) project, and PTB for their invaluable contributions in fostering metrology development in Asia.
This award reaffirms our mission and inspires us to continue our efforts in building a stronger metrology landscape for all economies. Let us work together to advance metrology for the benefit of all.

Thank you.

APMP Award
Dr. Xiang Fang
NIM, China
I am very honored and grateful to receive the APMP Award 2023. Having been the first and hopefully the only “Online” Chairperson in APMP history, I take pride in making substantive efforts towards a better APMP. I share this Award especially with my fellow EC members, Committee Chairs and the Secretariat team at NIM, who have given me very strong support and have together made the tangible progress of APMP in the three special years possible. But our greatest joy came from having you all together at the 39th APMP General Assembly and Related Activities in Shenzhen! And I was finally able to keep my promise and to give my beloved APMP family a “Party”, a long-expected chance for all members and our friends around the world to renew friendship and strengthen cooperation. I do wish APMP a brighter future. I do wish all my colleagues a healthy, happy and more successful year of 2024!

I am grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement of my dedicated APMP EC colleagues and Secretariat from KRISS and NIM, as my journey in the EC would have been vastly different without them. It is with deep humility that I received the APMP Technical Award from our APMP Chair, Dr Hyun-Min Park. This award signifies the acknowledgment of my efforts and contributions, reflecting the commitment and hard work I have dedicated to APMP over the past four years. The meaningful relationships and supportive environment within APMP consistently inspire me to contribute more, propelling our member institutes towards greater success and innovation. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all APMP colleagues and friends who have stood by me and challenged me – your support has been invaluable.

APMP Technical Activity Award
Dr. Victoria Coleman
NMIA, Australia
Serving as APMP’s Lead TC Chair was an absolute career highlight and personal honour for me, and it was very special to receive an APMP Technical Activity Award in recognition of my time in that role. When I started as Lead Technical Committee Chair, I had many doubts, especially coming from an area like TCMM which perhaps doesn’t have the same levels of exposure to the international system as some of the other TCs. With the support of the TC Chairs, the EC, and APMP Secretariat’s past and present, I tried my hardest to serve APMP to the best of my abilities. The role of lead TC Chair is really a busy and complex one - I learnt so much and made so many friends across APMP. I wish to give special thanks to the previous Lead TC Chair, Dr Chu-Shik Kang, to the APMP Chairs past and present (Director Fang and Dr Park), the DEC Chairs past and present (Dr Angela Samuel and Mr S.D.I Dias), to the TCQS Chairs past and present (Dr Yang and Ms ‘Fah’ Rugkanawan), and to all the current and past TC Chairs I worked with during my term for their support of me in this role. I wish the new Lead TC Chair, Dr Chunhui Li from NIM, all the best in her term, and offer her all my support for full success in this role. Thanks!

It was a great honor to serve as TCTF Chair for the past three years and receive an APMP Technical Activity Award. Since my term starts in the middle of the pandemic, we have to postpone some of the project we had planned in hopes of accomplishing them in the future. But still we have worked together to complete the important activities such as G1 and G2 GNSS receiver calibration trip, the APMP stopwatch comparison etc. I would like to thank all the TCTF members for their active participation, assistance, and support. I hope and believe that we will step further under the leadership of the new Chair Dr. Kazumoto Hosaka and I will continue to work with APMP colleagues.

I feel very honoured and privileged to serve as the FGCCCA Chair and received the APMP Technical Activity Award. In the past 3 years, though a series of activities and discussions, we have successfully engaged more regional stakeholders, such as key environment related organizations, and clean energy industry partners. It gave us a chance to better understand their needs and discuss how metrology can help them, especially in the areas of air pollution, greenhouse gas and environmental monitoring, carbon emission and emerging low-carbon fuels. The tasks and activities could not be completed without the strong support from committed members and partners, in particular, Dr Hong LIN (co-chair of FGCCCA), Dr Hai WU (NIM), Dr Sangil LEE (KRISS), Dr Defa WONG (NIM), Dr Takuya SHIMOSAKA (NMIJ), Dr Angel SAMUEL (NMIA), Mr SDI DIAS (MUSSD), Ms Charuayrat YAOKUBODEE (NMIT); Ms Mirola AFROZE (BRiCM), Dr llya BUDOVSKY (NMIA), and my colleagues at NMC/A*STAR. Last but not least, with concerted action and regional collaboration, I believe we can build a world where clean air and a stable climate are not just aspirations but fundamental rights for all.

It was my great honor to be one of the APMP Technical Service Award Awardees. I would like to thank APMP Secretariat and all APMP colleagues for their great support. I joined the family of APMP MMFG when it was founded in 2014 in the first place. MMFG means a lot to me since it offered me an opportunity to collaborate with APMP members in medical metrology. We had been experiencing a tough time since 2020 but we were staying together closely to fight against COVID-19. It is happy to see that we have more and more members in this focus group and we have good cooperation on many new medical topics. It was my great honor and pleasure to contribute my effort to such a great organization. I would also like to give my sincere appreciation to co-Chairs and all colleagues of MMFG during my term as MMFG Chair. We could not have made so much progress without their solid support. I firmly believe that we will make better achievements under the leadership of our new chair Dr. Il Doh.
