Introducing the Metrology Asia Pacific Website –
A Regional Knowledge Hub for Metrology and Sustainable Development

We are pleased to introduce the Metrology Asia Pacific website – a new regional knowledge platform developed jointly by APMP and APLMF, with support from the MEDEA project.

The website is designed to raise awareness of the critical role of metrology in supporting sustainable development, trade, innovation, and public well-being in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to bridge the gap between technical metrology work and real-world impact by providing accessible, policy-relevant content for stakeholders across government, industry, and the broader community.

Key features include:

• Policy briefs that translate metrology expertise into strategic insights for policymakers

• Case studies showing how measurement supports areas such as clean water, agriculture, energy, EVs, and semiconductors

• Guidelines on communication in metrology

• Opportunities to collaborate, contribute content, and connect with regional initiatives

The platform is a shared space for amplifying regional voices, highlighting success stories, and promoting the value of metrology in development goals. We encourage APMP members and partners to explore the site, share it with national stakeholders, and consider contributing new content to expand our collective impact.
